Nice cosy pub spoilt by the service we got at lunchtime today. The new landlord seems nice and helpful but the 2 female members of staff, barmaid & cook were extremely rude when 3 friends weren't happy with a lot of cream in their soup & wanted no cream or a change of lunch choice, both of which were refused even though soups were sent back. A change of female staff would be a good idea as 10 people agreed they would not return.

We've been frequent customers over the past decade. The Horseshoe has changed hands a few times in that period, but at this time (Aug 17) it is in great hands. The menu (ltd to roast and lunch options on Sundays) is tasty, the beers on tap are good.. La Trappe bottles are a rarely found treat beyond that. The pub is situated along a quiet river front road with sizable leafy (beer)garden at the back (and separate smoking cabin), a real hidden gem just off the road between Kearsley and Radcliffe - child friendly too (my 6yo boy is happy with it) and affordable.

Just had Sunday lunch with my brother and his wife, salad bar was free and was told we could go back and have as much as we wanted think it had been there awhile tasted awful, now the main meal Sunday lunch lamb roast a big disappointment 0 out of 10. A shame the horseshoe has gone from a thriving establishment to a pub with no atmosphere will not be going back.

I called in yesterday and was most impressed. Friendly staff, excellent beer, fantastic location. A pub well worth going out of your way to visit, with lots of walks round the area to work up a thirst. 17 minutes walk from Kearsley station. The kids will love it.
