It really would be worth it to pay more to get more. No convenience features like a hairdryer or sundries. Dated rooms in need of repair. Uncomfortable beds. Claustrophobic bathrooms with transparent toilet paper. Not enough of the expensive parking to meet demand. Shower smelled like mould.

The rooms are clean and basic. No kettle etc but the rooms are cheap and you get what you pay for. The beds are comfortable and the rooms clean. The reception does pizza 24hours and they sell hot and cold drinks and crisps etc. Free internet. For the odd night great, but I wouldn't stay for much longer. Great value for 30 a night though.

Room was very clean and comfortable bed. Sadly no kettle in room but boiling water available in reception. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the place last year, we had a rear facing room and slept soundly. Unfortunately this time our room faced the road and even with the window shut it was still very loud and our sleep wasn't great. Although the foyer looked fresh and had been updated since our visit last year, the rooms are showing signs of wear. The sealant around the windows is dried and cracked meaning that noise pollution seeps through - a lot. Room was clean and bed decent enough as I'd remembered, but could do with a bit of a paint. Location is great for China Town, and New St is 10-15 minutes walk away depending on which way you go. Parking at the hotel itself is £7 per 24hrs, so keep that in mind as it raises the £49 a night to £56. We don't think we will be returning as there looks to be better deals elsewhere, but overall it's not bad. We would've given 4 stars last year, but this year, due to the noise pollution mainly, it's just 3 stars.
