Aberdeen the Granite City
This was a quick visit to the area as it was the City which ran ferries to the Shetlands. Which I was on having been to Unst! Went to the Maritime museum it was great. Then had a quick visit to the shops which were many! Before getting the coach return to Newcastle. Will come back and have a longer stay to have a better look through the City.

Good place for browse around shops. Parking can be hectic, as I experienced today. Frequently go for a meal and the cinema here.

Sorry but I really only use the parking facilities of Union Square as most of the shops are at least a generation away from my other needs. There is a good variety of eating places and you can get a chance to sample the various qualities by having lunch at a lesser cost than the evening meals.
The shop prices are like the rest of Aberdeen shopping, too high for the quality of goods provided.

Shopping Centre with Car Parking. Most of the shops are situated INDOORS, with just a few being OUTSIDE. The Centre has its OWN Car Park directly adjoining the actual centre. Although MOST parking spaces are undercover in a Multi Storey facility, there are also a number of parking spaces in the Street level OPEN AIR car park situated at the vehicle entrance.
There is a HUGE range of High Street Shops & Restaurants, along with a multi screen Cinema too.
Most of the Shops are open until 9pm or 10pm-varying by individual Shop.
Most Resraurants open til LATE 7 days a week.
Car Park charges vary GREATLY depending the TIME of Day & DAY of Week. But AFTER 6pm on MOST evenings the charges are minimal. e.g.: approx. £1-£1.20.
There are several blocks of Public Toilets, along with a number of Disabled Toilets & also Baby Changing Rooms.
All Levels are accessible by 3 different ways-: Lifts, Escalator & Stairs.
Car Parks are accessible by Lifts & Stairs.

An OK place. Plenty shops, restaurants, coffee shops. Also has a hotel and cinema. A bit soul-less. But handy for bus & train station. Not for me.
