My wife visited the neurosurgeon here with a painful back. After a cursory examination he casually told her "it's probably MS". He then sent her for x-rays and a scan after which he pronounced, "there's two herniated discs but you probably have MS, enjoy the rest of your holiday!" I told him that it would be highly unlikely that one would have an enjoyable holiday after the news he had just dropped in our lap. After visiting another more advanced hospital in Izmir, we were told that the diagnosis given was impossible from the cursory examination and that in any event a brain scan would be more appropriate for the diagnosis to be accurate. After more expense and the brain scan, the neurosurgeon in Izmir confirmed that the only problem was the herniated discs. The original surgeon seemed elderly and quite put out that he had to stop reading his paper to consult with us. What a terrible experience to have had to be put through (to say nothing of the expense) and weeks of intense worry, all of which were completely unnecessary. I would never return to this hospital, it is a joke.

Tedavi icin gittim doktorum cok iyiydi...aneztezi uzmanida oyle fakat kat hemsireleri berbat ve veznedekilee sanki bedava calisiyorlar...hemsire agzinda biskuvi ile damar yolu acmaya calisiyor...bole bir hizmet sekli yok...damarimi patlatsalardi bide o zaman kiyamet koptuydu iste sukur sisti morardi ama patlamadi allahtan....
Sen devlet hastanesi hemsiresi degilsin ozel hastanede hemsiresin biraz daha kibarlik goster....

Arkadaşlar daha demin annemle geldim , öncelikle hastanenin etrafında park sorunu var , hasta bakıcılar ve hemşireler çok kaba ve ilgisiz , hepsinin elinde cep telefonu geziniyolar ,,, sıra die bişey yok , kapıya önce dalan içeri giriyor ,,, hastanenin neresi özel anlamadım , diğer bi konu genel cerrahi için giriş yaptık , 100 lira ödedik , bizi göz e yönlendirdiler , tekrar giriş yaptırdılar bi yüz lira daha , parasında değilim , paranızla rezil oluyorsunuz , tavsiye etmiyorum , kuşadasi devlet hastanesine gidin

It's a bit difficult to understand what's going on, it doesn't look that organized. But the doctors certainly know what they're doing. Staff during my stay for my operation was also very kind. Translators for the most common touristic languages. I had a good experience overal.
