Good architecture! Love the temple. It is made from wood. A unique experience. Combined between Buddhism and Hindus. Some parts are underrenovation when I go, but still worth a visit!

Certainly a must see in Pattaya. The gaint structure is made of wood, with intricate detailing everywhere. Tickets are 500 baht pp, a little steep for Pattaya, however when you see the wood work, you'll understand where the money goes. There's a small zoo throughout the complex, offering animal feedings and elephant rides. The actual temple is the main attraction and is pretty impressive. There are two or more cafes throughout the complex.

Absolutely amazing. It was a little pricey at 500baht per person but the sanctuary was worth it. The details in every inch of the structure was a feast for the eyes. Make sure you have your camera ready. You will be taking pictures.... Alot of them.
ALSO IMPORTANT NOTE... Women must have their legs covered (wear a comfortable long skirt) and guys don't wear shorts. 3/4 length pants or full length. This is a religious place. My gf was wearing denim shorts because it was so hot. She changed into a black dress and because she had some knees showing, she still had to cover up.

A beautiful spiritual temple and for me worth every penny of the entry fee. Yes ongoing restorations which when you visit you will understand the huge task of ongoing renovation to a building of this size and I would imagine this is a continuous process. A great way to spend the afternoon.

The sanctuary of truth is a magnificent place with a temple made entirely out of wood. The people are very friendly and it is of course a highly recommended visit.
However the animal abuse caught our eye, small horses pull heavy carriages in the heat. Goats are attached to wooden boxes pulling on the cords on their necks to be fed grass by tourists. I did not see any water nearby them. Inside those wooden boxes are rabbits whom you can also feed.
However the absolute worst part is the elephant ride, three elephants carry metal constructions with people sitting on top of them. Their nails broken by the weight, their heads and ears damaged by the ever so famous bull hook. The bull hooks are shamelessly resting on their heads as the elephants drag their feet around this huge temple.
The founders of the sanctuary of truth both stood for entirely different values and priorities, the buildings they built were founded on peace. They are rolling over in their graves.
