A place with reminiscent atmosphere.
You can have quality coffee here as well.
However the atmosphere is ruined by children sometimes...

Aged historical building turned into modern cafe.
Used to be an old hospital.
Now it's a nice cafe with quality coffee.
The managing host is an energetic woman with style.
Strong voice with nice attitude.
Visitors are welcome to drop in for a look.
Minimum charge is one drink.
You can have some cozy time in this place after walking around the old Taipei town neighbourhood.

Interesting and unique space with lots of history. Four stars for the overly bitter coffee; may have to give it another try!

Tiramisu is frozen and hard as stone (莓果提拉米蘇是結冰, 最上面是一層冰霜），some staff are not friendly to kids at all (大聲趕小孩與兇狠瞪眼對白目的兒子 due to he sit in the bar area，coffee is so so... Only go and worth for drinking "decoration" as an real old building. Why we should pay and suffer this....

Surprised by this new find. A double espresso with 2 hrs of cooling period finally made my 41 degree Celsius afternoon an enjoyable one. The 2nd story has a charming space for more guests. It was not open at the time I visited. Check out my pix. Two minor complaints:
1. I guessed that I' was still not able to get used to the open and loud conversational style from some of the local guests and the owners. Some Japanese tourists were able to carry a rather quite communication though.
2. I finally decided to depart due to the 9 tiny mosquito bites by invisible creatures.. ;(
I'd still recommend this coffee shop to anyone who is interested in exploring a different kind of deco and atmosphere.
