I discovered the Insian gallery about three years ago, attracted by the exotic and colourful artworks brimming over from inside onto the street. Having up until then regarded most contemporary art as pretentious and elitist my ingrained prejudices were happily detoxified not only by the art itself which includes the work of some very talented Taiwanese artists, and even more so by the warmth of the staff who are all very genial hosts guiding and conversing with me whenever I drop in. Never standoffish, but rather genuinely welcoming and modest, they were willing to humour and chat with me as I shared my impressions. I drop in few times each year now and its always a treat for eyes and soul.
