Across the st from major train and bus station. We landed at midnight local time and needless to say we had some time to kill before out 3pm check in time. Spent a few hours in the airport until we took the 1819 bus to station across the street. We walked to the hotel concierge on the first floor right when you walk in. They were able to check our bags to lighten our load for exploring before our 3 pm check in. We decided to take the elevator to the 6th floor to see how early we would be able to check in. Obviously at 7am it was a little early but we left our cell phone number. We walked around to some restaurants and a museum. The hotel called at 1030am and said our room was ready. When we got to the hotel about 20m later our checked bags were already in the room. Within 10 minutes we were in our room on the 16th floor complete with balcony, garden tub, closet with a safe, and mini kitchen area (refrigerator, glasses, and coffee maker)

The room was tiny, lights ways too dim, very weak and unreliable WiFi, aircon was like a mouse blowing through a straw, room got very hot, weak shower, no ironing board in the room, cold and untasty food from room service, while the minibar had almost nothing in it. Good location near the main rail station and friendly customer service, but not enough to offset the bad room.

Actually, this place is quite good. However, the staff(named Amber Pan) that I checked in and checked out is not up to standard for this kind of service. She is always frown. When I checked in, I have asked her " Are you chasing me?" she said "yes". When I checked out, I have signed my credit card and give it to her. She asked me unpolitely to hold the slip back and said she had to finish her work before. The check out time is very long. Whereas the other staff has already checked out 3 guest rooms, I still had to waited for her. After check out, She immediately made a call without asking my luggage so that I have to request the other staff to help me deposit my luggage.

It has its standards, so you won't be expecting anything less. However, the CP value is extremely low, as you might get the same stuff outside but at about half the price? Anyhow, the food here is great, at a great price.
The wedding ceremony held here is pretty good, but double the price you can get elsewhere. This is, however, at a great location, so all your friends from around Taiwan can get here with public transportation.
