Loved the snazzy and retro stuff they sold here. From music to daily goods to electronics. Set in a colonial style bungalow with a cafe that serves tea and coffee. Nice.

It's a special place and unique coffee shop. Not only it offers nice cup of coffee but also the little movie theatre it attached to it. Not sure about the service staff though. It also hard to have calm and cool conversation when the neighboring loud customers. That's probably the only two down points. Cheese cake was quite nice. I always enjoyed watching movie next door. Some fond memories here ;)

The former US embassy is now a small cinema with nice cafe and shop. The neighbourhood is nice for strolling.

Back in the day when Taiwan and the US were still in diplomatic relation, this place used to be the official residence of the US ambassador. In fact, when Richard Nixon visited Taiwan, he stayed here as well. Now this white western mansion has turned into the movie center and named as "Taipei Film House". This is one of the few places in Taipei that plays art films from all over the world.
After a film, enjoy a good meal. This neighborhood is also one of the most famous dining area in Taipei. From authentic Japanese cuisine, to traditional Beijing roast duck, there are simply too many to choose from.
