It's a great place to go on a date, too bad the area my lady friend wanted to see was closed off at the time. But overall had amazing pieces of art

Great place. Well laid out. Definitely visit it's better than the Riena Sofia.

Nice exhibition. I liked it. Bornemisza was familiar to me, so I checked, and yes it was a Hungarian noble family

Outstanding art collection. The Picasso / Latrec exhibit is truly amazing to see their shared influence. Plan on 4 hours to see the whole collection.

Wonderful private collection of paintings spanning five centuries of Western art. From pre-Renaissance Italian works to French Impressionism and American abstract expressionism, the Thyssen museum carries a remarkable series of paintings laid out chronologically from some of the best artists in history.
Here's a quick tip: there's free entrance on Mondays from 12-4pm. Definitely worth spending 1-2 hours here.
