Simpliy fantastic. Went for lunch and had the "Autumn Menu" which is a short degustation menu showcasing the best produce of the moment. Every dish was outstanding, portions were right, service was stellar and timing was spot on. Strongly recommend.

I arrived at this hotel today and went to the restaurant 'Blanc' to eat dinner. I have never experienced such bad service at another Mandarin hotel. We had a complimentary bottle of wine yet the staff was completely unaware of this. A waitress, named Rebecca, comes to pour it for us and spills it onto my bread plate, napkin and the base of the glass. She only bothers to change the bread plate, leaving the spill on the glass. We have to wave her over again and point it out to her before she goes off, taking her time, and wipes it without an apology. Afterwards, a waiter, named Jorge, pours us some olive oil. His thumb dips into the olive oil, leaving an obvious mark and tries to subtly wipe his thumb while pretending that our olive oil was clean. We ask 'Rebecca' to give us new olive oil, telling her that it is 'not clean'. She seems to think that we do not want the olive oil anymore because she takes it and walks away, never returning. We ask another waiter to bring us olive oil and 'Rebecca' brings us the olive oil, not bothering to mask her annoyance. After twenty minutes of waiting for our food, it has not come. We tell 'Rebecca' that we want to cancel it and leave because we are jetlagged and it's been too long. She says that it's ready, so we sit. The food is clearly not ready so we go over to her and tell her we are leaving and to cancel it. She tells us again that it's ready, even though we can see the whole open kitchen. Once again, she does not mask her annoyance, asking if we still want the food when we have told her no so many times. We walked off, and the manager calls us, telling us that the food is ready and tries arguing that we only waited 20 minutes, because I said 25-30 because I was timing it from when we actually flagged down the waiter to order. We had to put up with bad attitudes and no proper dinner. This is unacceptable for any 5 star hotel, especially a Mandarin, with a thumb in the oil, clumsily poured wine and no food.

Second time I've been here, and it's just as good as i remember. Make sure you try a fish dish here, it's done right!

Almost complained !
We were in Barcelona over Christmas and walked in for a dinner.
The restaurant offered a five course Pre-fix dinner menu with seafood slant. The service and the initial cources were delicious for example the way the chef cleverly coated the bottom of the salad course with oyster jelle'
The fish course was absolutely PERFECT and delicious.
But how can one accelerate to 100 miles per hour in a new Ferrari just to slam on the breaks as you see an old lady suddenly crossing the street!
The final MEAT COURSE was inedible.
I didn't have the right utensils to cut through this beef . I needed my surgical kit from school to dissect through tough chewey grizzle .
How can one exceptional restaurant ruin a perfect holiday meal?
Not just for us four , the other people struggled with the meat, but they clearly were not doctors like I
The rigor mortis has set in!
Sorry ,but no 5 stars.
