It is actually two hotels in the same building. Hotel rambla and Mendez Núñez. When I got to the check in I got one of the receptionist saying the foreigner is for you in Spanish. I speak fluently spanish... This out of context really annoyed me. Now put in context. The "for you" is understandable. The room was basic but ok. I will probably not stay here again.

Excellent position very close to the sea and on the rambla.
Tidy and clean rooms with great quality for price ratio.
If possible, ask for a room facing on the rambla.

good accomadation. Shame there are not any hot drinks facilities in the room or reception. Excellent breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful

Basic, comfortable and a great location
A simple but perfectly adequate hotel, a very short walk from the port area. Trivial bus journey from the airport (tip - the bus goes from departures). A good base for exploring Alicante

This is so close to all the bars and restaurants as well as the marina. All very reasonably priced but no frills. If you get a high superior room there's usually a lovely view of the marina from your closed balcony. This is a great place to stay if you want to go your own way and explore the city.
