Nice homely hostel in a great location. It's within a residential building so there are no signboards outside - just follow the directions on their website and you'll get there.
I liked the cleanliness, comfy bed, numerous power plugs, and staff - Asya was so friendly!
Some people may find it useful to know that 1) the hostel is on the 3rd floor, there is no elevator 2) there's only 1 shower and 1 toilet

The location is great; beautiful district, metro nearby and a short walk from the Red Square. Rooms and bathroom are clean and nice, and the staff is really helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

---THE BEST HOSTEL IN MOSCOW----
I was a student in Med Uni in Russia and i visited Moscow for many times but this is the 1st time i stayed in Ivan Hostel.
I was attracted by the white and clean room photos when i was choosing a hostel to stay in Moscow.
Ivan hostel:
1. Clean in every single corners without disappointing you even in the kitchen and toilet
2. warm enough in the winter with -16C
3. VERY CAPABLE, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL staffs (they are fluent in Eng speaking, able to find the cheapest taxi to airport, helpful in giving clear and detailed direction and guide in city traveling, help to carry your heavy luggage up to hostel in the midnight with a smiling face!)
4. freely access well-equipped kitchen (microwave, tea and sugar, kettle, fridge, cutlery, frying pan, ventilator etc)
5. spacey bathroom with strong water power shower and bathtub
6. cosy dorm with clean bedsheet and pillow, comfortable and good quality mattress, lockers, jacket hangers.
7. Easily to be found for the first visitor
8. Located beside the Police station, always see policemen patrolling around the area
9. 5 mins walk to metro station and supermarket
10. High speed free Wifi internet access (fluent in video skype and streaming video!)
I am not hired by Ivan hostel for advertising, hahaha...just to clear your doubts! I received a very nice treatment from every aspects of Ivan hostel, that's why i am proudly to present it to all the travelers to Moscow that this will be your first choice in choosing a hostel to stay in Moscow without regrets!
