Was quite disappointed with this standard pub-restaurant which has been highlighted in many websites and magazines. Apart from the colourful umbrella decoration above the sitting area, there was nothing stand out. Food and drinks were very average. Service was not impressive at all. Staff was very cold and unhelpful. Overrated.

Gogol is a paradox. A cheap bar/club for everybody, especially not so wealthy Moscovites, from students to breadless artists. But, the venue is located in one of Moscows most expensive shopping streets, Stoleshnikov, next to Vivienne Westwoods Boutique or Marc Jacobs.
OK drink prices. Nice to see, if you're visiting Moscow, because it shows you the downside of the glam city, but not my kind of place. Its just too cheap, including its guests.
