Do not go for an enjoyable round of golf. Expect to spend 6 hours routing in bushes after hitting what appeared to be a good drive. As an earlier reviewer said this course is all about luck rather than skill.

I live just across the road from royal birkdale golf club and played golf all over the world 100s of courses ..espiche golf course is up there in my top 3courses I've ever played..a credit to the staff and green keepers ... Magnificent.

Great welcome from all the staff,and Roy who gave us great advice on how to enjoy the course.You have to plot your way round. Greens perfect and stunning views. Definitely coming again.

Great course for a very reasonable price. Beware the bushes surrounding many of the fairways which swallowed quite a few of our balls.
Greens are well kept, the clubhouse is very modern and the food and drink is excellent quality and reasonably priced.
Played the first week of September and was relatively quiet and not too hot if you tee off before 9am.

Great golf course, great clubhouse, great staff. Unlike some courses in Portugal the investment in this place seems to be solid, and I hope the course is here to stay for many years to come. Came here just when it was newly opened and the road was not fully made up, but now the run from Espiche village to the clubhouse is a smooth ride.
