It may not be typical, but we got some dodgy fish here that left Junior with food poisoning for a day so even though it was cheap and tasty we're not risking a return visit.

Fish was so light and tasty. Wedges were also really good. Would totally recommend!!! Also very friendly service.

50 mins to make 2 toasted sandwiches and 2 scoops of chips. 4 people came - ordered and left before we got anything and to top it off she only gave us 1 scoop of chips. Our sandwiches were cold and chips soggy. Do better. Never again will I be going there.

Decent quality fish freshly battered up front; unusual (and not convenient) that the entire flounder - bones and all - was cooked. Not like that for other fish. Mussels were nice. Vegetable oil only. Store itself is extremely basic. Has a 70's decor that is questionably clean and extremely dated. Kind of hard to tell in the fluorescent glare. Only decorations are a faded fish chart (helpful when deciphering Hoki from Others. Sells only soda.
