I recently stayed at Central Cottages (Windrest Cottage) with three other friends, two of them visiting NZ from Ireland & England. We had a very enjoyable 5 night stay in a clean, fresh and well equipped cottage. The natural surroundings were well maintained and native plants created a relaxed atmosphere around the cottage. The owners were very friendly and were on hand to assist if anything extra was required. And the cost per night was amazingly manageable and it was fabulous to have an affordable stay in such a lovely place. I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone heading up North and wanting access to the lovely Bay of Islands and surrounding beaches.

Beautiful setting - nicely situated individual accommodation. A great place to wind back and relax. WOULD RECOMMEND! !!!!!

We had a delightful six days in The Lighthouse at Driftwood Central last month. Having booked online, I was a little anxious that it would not be as wonderful as it looked but we were both totally amazed by the property. The Lighthouse is ideal for a couple, with its large room, functional kitchen and outlook - we spent many hours on the verandah. The tropical-style gardens are beautiful and it was lovely to be able to walk through them and enjoy the flowers, birds and peace and quiet. We slept for 11 hours the first night we arrived, having spent three weeks travelling and visiting relatives - no road noise and even the birds were quiet in the morning! The weather was fantastic and we were glad that it rained on the last morning we were there, otherwise we wouldn't have wanted to leave. Thoroughly recommended to all.
