We went in without knowing what to expect, the main exhibit (the large spaces with the looped projection screens) were not really suitable for young kids, but the exhibits downstairs (cameras and projectors through the ages) below the restaurant were more enjoyable, but would have liked to seen more of these there. The building is impressive architecturally, with nice views looking back across the water.

Great food and professional staff. Definitely not a budget place, but worth it. Make sure to check out the terrace if the weather allows it.

Exceptional, building with pleasantly high ceiling, a fine terrace and a good view over the IJ and the city. The restaurant serves a nice meal for all tastes and in all sizes. Perfect in combination with a visit to the museum or a rare movie.

Beautiful location with a very unique building and a perfect view on the water in front of the station. This is the perfect Amsterdam experience. The museum offers you great movies and the restaurant/bar allows you to fully enjoy the place. The area outside is very lively and with a lot of bars and restaurants.

Great place! You can get there by the ferry which is a short and breezy ride. The museum is right on the water with a restaurant/Cafe with huge glass windows looking right out to the water. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend getting a combination museum and film ticket, there are lots of films to choose from. The museum is nice for a short visit, and great for film lovers.
