Great spacious rooms. Great staff. The bathroom was smaller but it had a community bath downstairs, which makes up for that. The only thing lacking in this hotel was the breakfast. It had only a few options to choose from and those options were not impressive.

This place was really nice and relatively cheap. The staff was friendly and attentive. In a pretty good location in Kyoto, I'd stay here again!

The lady day manager was friendly and very helpful. Room was large and perfect when traveling with 5 or more people. There is also an onsen within the hotel with fragrant water, a pleasant surprise :)

I had a great stay at this hotel with my family over New Years. It gives the full Japanese experience, which was at times a bit too much for my family, but if you are brave and willing dive into the culture, you will love this place. We slept on futons on the tatami floor, got naked in the warm public bath, and worked our way through an amazing Kaiseki meal served in our room. I would definitely stay here again!
