The water is dirty. The sand is dusty and unpleasant. Easy to find and not too far from the train station. Lacking decent restaurants nearby.

I lived there for a while. It is a lovely place. Great if you want to chill. The beach is very crowded during summer.

Nice beach in Kobe area. The atmosphere is quite lively during the summer time. Easily accessible from Suma or Sumakaihinkōen stations.

A nice beach in the Kobe area, though I'm visiting in winter. The walkways are quite old and are in need of rebuilding. Trees are nice and the beach is fairly sizeable. Some great local restaurants in the area.

It's an alright place to go. Maybe it's nice if you do the little beach clubs that they have there, but also, maybe not. Just sitting at the beach is alright but the water isn't great and the sand is ok too. However I think that it's proximity to Osaka is why it's so popular, and it's not the worst beach ever, just not great.
Also, there are people harassing you to go to their beach club and have drinks there, so it is annoying right when you hit the beach.
