A great place to do some running to keep in shape during your visit to Japan. A tartan surfaced track that is 460 meters according to the sign at one of the entrances. So 7 laps is 2 miles. A nice big field to play pickup soccer and also some courts to shoot the hoops. 1/2 mile south of Sannomiya station.

It is very hard to find a place in big-city Japan where you can play basketball without having to pay to rent a court.
This place has actual free-for-anyone courts!
the whole place looks really nice too.
The track is 500 meters, so if you are jogging there just halve your laps for the kilometers!

Nice open park area with many events on weekends, it's great anytime for runs on a cushioned track, water fountains in each corner, toilets, vending machines, basketball, skateboard park all around a grass field that is usually occupied by different groups playing sports.
