Great place for families, singles, young, and old. Yes, the water isn't the cleanest but it offers more than just swimming opportunities. During the summer enjoy the food, drink, and festivities. It's a scenic beach park with Fukuoka Tower as its backdrop.

Nice little beach by the mouth of river. Good for relaxation. Grilled snacks and draught beer!

This part of the city is an interesting place to go.
Even if this a man-made seaside/beach it is beautiful sight to see. Fine sand, good weather and nice food. Plus, there are food stands and restaurants to choose around nearby that you might enjoy.
