Go here for cicchetti - cheap delicious snacks for a euro each and an excellent range of drinks. There is even extra seating in a barge in the canal - though you have to take plastic cups there.

We ate here on our last of three nights in Venice as per a recommendation from our hotel concierge. It is a little out of the way from the main tourist traps, which is part of the appeal. They know their meat; our dish was well prepared. The general vibe of the place, along a quant canal, was chill. Highly recommend if you find yourself tired of the hordes of tourists and abysmal service we experienced at most restaurants.
