Intentionally ignored by the server behind the counter, when no one else was waiting the staff just worked on orders. Twice when Italian customers arrived at the counter they were immediately served, I can only assume she didn't like tourists.
Even when after 5 minutes I asked if I was to order there or whether it was table service then held out a 20 euro to show I was ready to order I was simply ignored in favour of a local.
Never have I met such rude waiting staff, the fortunate thing was that after walking out my wife and I found an amazing little place in a courtyard across the canal.

Hidden gem in Murano with fresh, homemade sandwiches which are delightful. They also have other goodies like pasticcio, prosciutto and cheese in a flaky pastry that was wonderful.
