Although the neighborhood doesn't seem quite safe and nice, Ostelo Torino is really safe, quiet and clean with a good breakfast.

OK hostel with comfy beds and good shower facilities. Breakfast is basic but enough to get you started for the day. It is a 10min walk over the bridge and through the shopping centre to Lingotto metro station that takes you into the heart of Turin. My only downside was my room was at the back and next to the train lines so very noisy at times during the evening. Loads of places to park as well if in a car.
