A beautiful hotel with a good location. I had booked a package deal for several cities in Italy, and had exceptional service with all the other Baglioni hotels we stayed at. Unfortunately, this one did not compare in service or quality to the other city's hotels (Venice & Firenza). We were shoved into a tiny room, in a difficult to access part of the hotel by a service room that had staff coming and going all night. The hall was blocked on our arrival by mops and buckets, which we had to climb around just to reach our room. We should have insisted on another room when we found some men's underpants under the desk. When we called the front desk to complain & have the underpants removed, we were accused of placing them there ourselves, which we did not do. (Maybe that's a tactic other's have tried; I don't know if that is a common thing?). It was rude, anyway. Then the shower door leaked and flooded the bathroom. The hotel merely offered us extra towels so we could clean up the flood ourselves! On closer inspection, it was easy to see that the bathroom had flooded many times before, as there were signs of replaced carpeting, floor tiles and woodwork once you looked closely. So they were well aware this was a reoccurring problem, though they acted very put out, behaving as if we had done it on purpose or through negligence. We were finally moved to a better room, but the first impression was spoiled, and the opportunity to make it right was missed several times. The concierge, however, was top notch, and the only selling point I can offer. I believe this hotel needs to be refurbished and restaffed to compete with it's sister properties.

Beautiful hotel but bad showers and air conditioning didn't work properly in my room

Pretty small rooms but not awful. The breakfast is complimentary so that's aways a plus. The staff is very helpful and kind. If you are planning on eating in Rome you definitely need to ask the concierge because every restaurant they have recommended has been great.
