Fantastico....!!! Excellent food at reasonable prices....!!! Local trattoria used by local people....
Situated at the top of the River Arno away from the tourist area so you can have a beautiful walk along the river..... The bistecca di fiorentina is 20 euros and is fantastic...it would cost around 60 euros in town..... So excellent value for money..... Highly recommended.

Eating in Italy is a pleasure, wherever you! In Florence, just out of town and in a non touristic place Il Cigno is a wonderful and fantastic trattoria that only the locals can guide you to. Our friends told us: "that was the preferred restaurant of our father, we used to go there as kids every weekend". Best advice ever: there went. Not a fancy place: just a familiar and kids friendly place, with options to eat inside or outside, for the cold and warmer times. Parking? not a problem! Something you will welcome in Florence. Crowded? Not at all! Even if locals could pack it, it is not the typical Florence place full of tourists exhausted, tired and sweating after walking and walking. You can go there and relax and take time to have your entree, first plate, second plate and dessert! At a very reasonable price, the only advise: do not go there if you are on diet!
