Even though celebrates like to visit this restaurant, I do not see anything special about it. The food is average or below, but the pizza is very good.

Arrived without a reservation at 9pm, felt very lucky to be seated right away in a busy restaurant. Sat at table for 15 mins without acknowledgement from any of the waiters, who all appeared to be slammed/irritated. Eventual service was pretty rough top to bottom, minimal eye contact, mistakes on drinks, clearing plates before the food was finished, and just generally chaotic. Because of this we opted to order only one course and skip dessert, we just weren't feeling the service or vibe of the restaurant (cheesy Sinatra music and green backlit walls). However, my daughter's pizza was fantastic, and as this place is supposed to be iconic on the island, we were glad we went to check it out for ourselves. One last thing- there were 2 girls walking around with flower crowns carrying Capri handbags that appeared to possibly be part of some type of staged marketing. Just added to the overall bizarre experience. I'd recommend Villa Verde for a pizza lunch, but the hectic dinner hours with proper dishes left a lot to be desired.

Very tasty but also very expensive compared to local places at the mainland. Food excellent & staff nice. Place was almost empty at afternoon time but food was served hot and fresh.
