Cannot recommend this place.

The pasta we ordered had more of an Asian flavor profile, rather than Italian or Mediterranean, and they were also not executed well.

We ordered the 'Pappardelle' and 'Aglio y Olio'. The pappardelle sauce had a sweet taste that did not compliment the ingredients and was generally unexpected. The aglio y olio didn't have a strong garlic flavor, and was relatively bland. Noodles in the dishes were stuck together along with other small errors in execution.

There were some positive aspects: we also ordered a salad with apples, nuts, and a vinaigrette, which was good, and was what we ate the most of. Also, portions were large, and our food came quickly.

Service was more bad than good, it wouldn't have been factored into this review except that they claimed we had to leave them a minimum of a 10% tip. This made service go from fine to unacceptable.

If you are coming here expecting the pasta to taste like Italian food, as the fresh focaccia, pizza, and other Italian menu items would suggest, you will be disappointed.

Great dinners of chicken, veal and aglio oilio. Interesting selection of Israeli wines.

When we arrived at Roza it was early and the place was empty except for 1 or 2 other tables. For whatever the reason the rude hostess insisted in seating us all the way at a table in the very back. When we asked for a table closer to the front she said the were all reserved. We drove all the way from Tel Aviv just to eat here because last year we fell in love w/ this restaurant. After asking several times finally we were moved to a front table but the hostess was rude & sat outside smoking continuously. Our waitress was very nice & the food was still good. It can really ruin the experience when you hire rude unfriendly & inconsiderate staff.

Sat down with 2 other friends around 11pm for a night cap. We asked for a dessert menu and were told we could not be served unless we ordered a meal. Apparently there is a policy to keep out those who just sit down for a drink and take up a table as they want to maintain their "restaurant" appeal, which is understandable when it's busy and there is a wait. However, that night there were at least 5 open tables. I felt very disrespected and felt they could have accommodated us. We left and had an excellent time at a place 3 doors down. I clearly won't be visiting Roza's for dinner either.
