We stopped in for dinner. It was an okay place. It was packed, so people must love it. We ordered seafood chowder, which was good and filling. While we enjoyed the food, the atmosphere just didn't vibe with us. I can't fault the bar though. Overall, they have good food and had live music.

Best pint of Guinness on tap...no seriously this place is the real one. Every bar boasts but here it's the real deal for the freshest pint.

Its one of the oldest pubs in galway and one of the sites all tourists go and see, its worth having a pint and taking in its old fashioned charm as well as have a nice beer. They also do food but i have not not tried it, i have heard good things tho. Music nightly and there is a late bar / nightclub upstairs generally 10 euro cover charge. Generally brings in a country crowd rather then a city crowd. worth a look

As a bar or music venue, this place might be better but, as a restaurant, we found it to be pretty mediocre. The beef and Guinness stew was very tough and the seafood cocktail was . . . interesting. That said, being able to order oysters as an add-on to any beer is a definite plus so it's not all bad! That said, my advice is to remain upstairs and focus on beer and whiskey at this establishment.

Wonderful bar with a great atmosphere. Get here we'll ahead of the band so that you can grab a good seat. The place fills up quick once the music starts.
