IIPR in cooperation with ISPRD Kanpur is going to organize PulSym 2017 During 2-4 December 2017 at ICAR- IIPR kanpur
One of the prime institute in the world for pulses research. Pulses covered the Chickpea, Pigeonpea, Mungbean, Urdbean, Lentil, Lathyrus, Rajmash, Peas, Mothbean, Cowpea and Horsegram. This institute doing great jobs since its creation and large number of farmers of the country benefited by this institute. Framers are getting training on pulse technologies along with seeds and advisories for pulse production. A large number of varieties has been developed by the institute itself along with more than 600 varieties developed in collaboration with SAUs of the country. The institute has developed extra short duration variety of mungbean (Virat) which mature in 52-55 days good for summer seasons. The institute is also in progress for Transgenic research on pod borer in chickpea and pigeonpea. Training to the farmers and extensions officials is another mandate of the Institute. Institute also provide summer training to the post graduation students.
