place seemed ok, not exactly state of the art, more on the spa side of things than a gym and a bit claustrophobic compared to other holmes place studios i've seen but ok. crowd is usual lower middle class wellness crowd, nothing to complain here. staff ( talked to maria hatzipavli ) is obviously encouraged to sell a full membership which for foreigners is only possible via cash payment for the entire year ( about 1000€ ). she very quickly lost interest in me when i inquired about trying the club for a month as a start. responses to my questions got increasingly hostile by the minute. monthly membership of €100 comes with an additional "membership fee" of 50. every month. nobody wanted to tell me what that additional charge is for and why it's very existence was not mentioned until specifically asking for it. it was impossible to shake off the feeling that one will run into more issues resulting from the lack of transparency in the future. my requests to talk to a supervisor or manager were simply ignored. i usually don't care much if the staff in a gym is bored or badly trained since i go to workout and not to chat but this experience was particularly bad and unnecessarily enervating. it must be something about the management that keeps even frontdesk staff at this level of pushy unfriendliness so i'd rather not find out first hand in what other ways this manifests throughout the club.

I'm here on vacation and was willing to pay €100 for the one month fee, but to tack on another €50 for"membership" fee is super lame. Declined to pay as a matter of principle, not finances.

Last admission one hour before it closes and shuts 2030 on a Saturday, so no chance for a Saturday evening swim.

Overpriced, super clean. Not that great gym. The pool is nice, four lanes, 50m, so you can do laps without constantly turning.
Not to talk trash but i've yet to find an amazing athletic gym experience in Athens. :( Better off running up one of the hills.

Have been on a trip to the Greek Islands and have been staying in Athens for only a few hours. I decided to go to Holmes Place.
( there is a lot of food on a cruise) The staff was really friendly and shown me around. It was my first time going to a Holmes Place in another Country. And I would recommend to any travel being a member of Holmes Place to stop by.
