Asked for unexpected documentation after many years of using them and booking my vehicle a month in advance. They nearly ruined my vacation and were very cold and unapologetic. I immediately went next door to Europcar. They found me a vehicle and saved my vacation. I'm done with sixt.

Service very depends on team member: one of them are very good, others - very bad. Anyway that is not Sixt company level.

Sixt can be your worst choice. Please avoid it!
I booked a transporter online for moving but when I went to Sixt to get it, they did not give me the car and asked for an unexpected document to show my Anmelde Bescheinigung. It was the third time I was renting from them and they never asked for this document. I went back to my home and took the document. When they saw it, they said, "This is Anmelde Bestetigung. We need Anmelde Bescheinigung." and it takes 3 days to get one. I wasted a lot of time while my friends were waiting at my home for the transporter. Finally, I had to go to another company, Miet Mich, and they gave me an even bigger transporter immediately with a lower price.
I think Sixt did not have any transporter available at that time because I did not see any at their parking (it was supposed to be there) and maybe that was why they asked for that unexpected document.
Later I sent Sixt emails and complained about it, but they never answered. It seems they do not have any respect for their customers. I suggest you not to waste your time and money with this company, while you can get better and cheaper services from other companies like Enterprise who also gives you free rides from and to your place.
