Same as others. Trying for weeks to find good pizza place in Dusseldorf and this is best (out of about 10 we tried!). It's 8 am and I am already in pizza mode! Yummy

We moved to a place closeby and we love pizzas. Our idea was to explore pizzerias each week, but we have not been able to move past Trattoria via Appia. Thanks to the yummy pizzas. Small and well kept restaurant. Super friendly hosts. Go here on a sunny saturday or any day for that matter, try the pizzas with the wine, along with some friendly banter with the owner, Andreas and the rest of the gang. I am sure the other italian dishes are great as well, but I personally, recommend the pizzas in specific!! Its a short walk from Volksgarten, so you could pick up some pizzas for your picnic in the garden
