Impossible for me to assess the quality of food since I never got mine. Upon arrival, we were enchanted by the place and ambience : it was lovely. However, I can't say the same of the service. I had ordered a guacamole appetizer and after an hour, I was still waiting. I finally managed to get the server's attention to flag that my order had never arrived. They had forgotten it. I did not think it was a big deal. I worked in that industry during my studies : long enough to know that it can sometimes get chaotic and that honest mistakes can happen. I was not expecting any compensation, but since he offered a portion of banana crumble to apologise for it, I accepted (plus: I was getting pretty hungry at that point). The dessert arrived immediately, but the waiter forgot to bring forks/spoons. For about half an hour, I tried to get his attention to ask for a fork, unsuccessfully. I finally stood up, and went to a waitress to ask for it. I was a bit uncomfortable to have to stand up and interrupt her and did not want to come across as an annoying customer. I said . "Excusez-moi? Est-ce que je peux avoir une fourchette...?" I truly meant to ask nicely, regardless of the situation and never imagined it came accross as rude. She replied : "S'il-vous-plait". I was a baffled so all that came out of my mouth was : "pardon?" and then she started ranting about how impolite I was and that people who have manners say "s'il-vous-plait". I was so uncomfortable that I returned to my table and told my friend what had just happened. Unfortunately for me, the waitress overhead me and came back and continued to rant about how impolite and susceptible I was and that I was making a big deal out of it. My friend said "come on miss, she has been waiting for her dish for more than an hour, all she asked was a fork so she can eat the crumble". The waitress cut her, said she knew and that´s why they had kindly offered the crumble in the first place. She then kept on ranting about good manners. Until then, I had not placed a word, but i ended up cutting her to give her back her crumble, ask that they cancel my order and that they bring the bill. This was one of the most surreal experiences of my life... in a very very bad way.

Very bad service
Small dance floor
Water stops being free once you're done eating
They made everyone wait with no music while they buy candles for people celebrating their anniversary

I don't think I can say anything nice about this place - I live nearby and have gone in there 3 times to catch up with friends for their salsa nights.

The food is ordinary. If you look around the tables many others seem to think the same. It's one of those places where you might leave hungry simply because the you cannot eat the food. But I should have known better as all the warning signs are there: do you know of any decent restaurant charging 20-30 euros per main course that has its menus laminated in plastic?

The waitresses are pretty clueless about serving food, let alone serving customers - we're talking teenagers in tight tops flopping plates down and mixing their cutlery up. I've seen spoons put down on the table upside-down, and cutlery flicked across to a customer, but perhaps that's part of the entertainment.

Large groups tend to like this place because the room is large and can fit long tables easily. But if you come on a quiet night, it would feel like a cemetery due to the large size so don't risk it if you are looking for a romantic meal for two.

One of the earlier reviews mentioned that the manager boasted that the restaurant was world-renowned. I expect this is because it's so bad...

I booked this place for my birthday and the waiter/manager (a bald guy) practically kicked us out because supposedly everyone had to order food to stay (which was super expensive and not worth the price at all- I know, I'm Mexican). Then he started this rant about how this bar was well known worldwide and that we shouldve known we couldn't just show up to order drinks, even though the info about having to order was nowhere to be found on their website where I made reservations. Apart from that fact, it was super expensive, drinks and food equally...The ambiance isn't bad but if your looking for a place that has good service and no idiots bothering you to pay up, then don't go here, it's not worth it all. There are many other bars or restaurants in Paris that can offer so much more. If you're looking for good Mexican food in Paris I recommend Boca Mexa, where both food and service is nice =) To sum it up, this place is a disgrace to Mexico, I doubt it's even run by Mexicans because the guy wouldn't even wanna speak in Spanish. That's all! Screw you "Los Mexicanos"!
