I had a chance to meet some great people here, and enjoyed the freshest fish I've ever had.
We walked about 20 minutes on the beach from Playa Dorado to get here. (ignore the security guy at the end of the hotel line) When we got there the son said they were just closing for the night. We felt really bad but his mother insisted that we stay and that she would gladly cook for us.
She made us fish, chicken, fresh fried potato chips, and a salad. Everything was amazing.
It started raining a bit and was going to get dark soon so they even offered to drive us back to our hotel, which would have been like an hour out of their way home. We figured if we ran on the beach we could be back in no time which is what we ended duo doing. But it was very nice of them to offer even after we kept them there.
Very nice and caring people, and mom definitely knows how to cook.

Walked about an hour from Gran Ventana resort. Elvis is on the most beautiful, tranquil, deserted stretch of beach in this area. No, there are no bandidos...perfectly safe.
You want lobster, octopus cooked old school? You will not be disappointed! His joint is shack like, nothing fancy. Elvis is warm, hospitable, knowledgeable, will feed you, drive you, or take you out on his boat, whatever you want. Even a late night dinner with bonfire.
Make the effort, see Elvis.
