When I first came to your facility, I felt like I was herded out of your recovery room very roughly...nurse hit my head getting into the car...I do understand that the anesthesia still has to be in me to be able to get home with at little pain as possible...
But the second time I came for my second surgery, I felt well looked after & cared for...never had to worry about being roughly handled...

I went to see Dr. Islur on a recommendation of my friend who happens to work with him. I was unhappy with a BA And Lift I received from another surgeon. I had been thinking and wanting it since I had my child almost 30 years ago. I went to another surgeon and more or less spoke with an office assistant whom I thought was knowledgeable. I explained what I wanted. I didn't want to be bigger. I just wanted to add volumn and a lift to what I used to have before having a child. The assistant at the other facility convinced me to go bigger as most people, she said, regrets not going a little bigger. I thought they are in the business and they must know. I went ahead with it and was so unbelievably happy. It was so unnatural for my body and it just didn't look right. I had a lot of complications and had 4 more surgeries trying to correct it. Not to mention the money I spent. I didn't do this on a whim. I thought about if for over 26 years! Thank goodness a friend of mine works with Dr. Islur and suggested I go for a consult. What a different experience!!! He was wonderful. He didn't demean the previous surgeon but agreed I would be better off at a smaller size and felt he could make that happen. He gave me numerous options, 5 to be exact. He was completely honest with the outcomes I would expect with each one. I went home, thought about it and called back to book my appointment. The staff were wonderful and took me through every step. Even though I had gone though this before this was a much better experience. The previous surgery I had I dealt mainly with the assistant. Dr. Islur deals with you! His staff are wonderful but he is hands on. I only went for one followup with the previous surgeon. I have seen Dr. Islur 4 times already since my surgery to ensure I am healing well and that I am happy. He does tremendous work and I am so happy. I wish I had gone to him originally. And he asked I come in for a 1 year follow up to make sure everything is still ok! To me that is exactly what I should have had in the beginning. I've gone on and on and on but if you are reading this and thinking about this....Dr. Islur is the way to go. He is great. He's an artist and he is also honest with what to expect. And I feel he truely cares. I know I should have listened to my instinct with the other surgeon but I didn't. Thank goodness I went to Dr. Islur. Listen to your gut ladies! Dr. Islur doesn't disappoint.

I felt completely comfortable with Dr Islur from my initial consult to my last post op appointment. I am 7 months post op from tummy tuck and am completely thrilled with my results. Dr Islur and staff at The First Glance were amazing and would do it all over again 😊
