Very grateful to have a fully fenced* large space for my doggo to run around and socialize. She's much happier any day we come. I wish there was running water and maybe a floodlight for short winter days, but there aren't many options for fenced off leash parks in Greater Victoria, so these are minor complaints. (*There are a couple of holes in the wire fence, some low fenced spots, and some gates that get left open unintentionally, so user beware.)

Great place for dogs. Has a bit of spear grass.

Awesome place to let the doge romp around. It can get muddy during the rainy season. So bring your boots and a towel for the puppers after.

Love bringing my dog here, wear boots in winter , lots of mud to slush through at the entrance gate.
I've noticed more parents bringing toddlers which is a bit concerning when the playing dogs knock them flat and step on them. Maybe it's to teach their babies how to be knocked over and stepped on? I'm not sure really. I do know if the little humans are picked up and carried near a group of rough housing dogs there'd be a lot less crying.

Otherwise it's a dog loving park and most dogs are somewhat socialized, but once in awhile you may need to address an issue of an overexcited pup.
It's a great place to meet people and dogs.

There are lots of off-leash dog parks in Victoria, but I think this one is the best because of its size and the fact that it is fully fenced. At most parks the off leash area is fairly small, so you end up standing there while the dogs play, but this park is big enough to let the humans get a decent walk too. Always lots of friendly dogs here. Some areas (including the main entrance) can get very muddy, so rubber boots are a must in winter.
