Great pub fares in a magical setting that is the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. Sit on the patio and enjoy the gorgeous view of the Juan de Fuca Strait and sip a glass of sparkling wine with their gluten-free wings and truffle chips. The rock fish on the menu is a great light meal, or for a more heavy meal, try one of their burgers with yam fries.

The prices are high here for what you're getting. The atmosphere is a little snobbish, though that can be expected given the location. Ordered an IPA that was advertised as on the guest tap, what arrived was maybe 30 IBUs. When I asked if there was a mistake, or if perhaps the beer on that tap had changed I was told I was wrong, and that was as far as they were willing to go.

This is the place to be if you want a proper pint of Guinness in Victoria. I would rate five stars if they didn't close so early.

If you go here, you need to try their chicken nachos. Honestly, hands down the best nachos I have ever had (and I've had amazing nachos at places like Rooftop and Cenote). The service is always really good, we always have the same server and he's great.

Come during the summer and hopefully you'll get a seat outside. Come during the winter and you still will enjoy a great atmosphere. Stay away from their buffet. (sorry but 4 dishes is not a buffet) This is not cheap by any means but it's definitely worth the experience. Lots of parking down below and nearby.
