I love this park. I really do. But that's likely due to a local bias. If I didn't live in the Village, I wouldn't come here. It is a popular hangout for addicts. They trash the place out every night. You'll see lots of hostility and fights.
That said, the BIA is putting in a lot of work to improve the park. They host performances and all kinds of fun stuff there. The cops say they'll start having more of a presence, too.
This park will be wonderful space to be enjoyed by all Torontonians some day. But not today.

Dangerous do not go there - especially at night. People get mugged and attacked on a daily basis. Police do not police it often - when called they are too late. Anarchy has been allowed to reign here. It's a terrible shame and a sad indictment to the Canadian police, drug and mental health system and Toronto Parks. Give this park a miss.
Toronto Parks should fence it off and lock it between sunset and sunrise.

Not the cleanest, and definitely has some interesting characters but it's the closest dog park around and has a real community feel

It a fantastic place in the autumn, winter and spring seasons but an awful place in summer with the drug users injecting by the kids play park people over dosing in front of children. The police never present, fights breaking out everyday. Take your kids at your own peril to this city park

Few days ago we discovered a new splash pad inside the park. It's a great spot for families. You can either splash yourself or take a seat and watch other splashing :)
