Went there last night with my mom and grandma and the food was awesome. We shared a Greek salad, appy platter, and lamb souvlaki, and even with all the food, we left our plates clean. What really stood out was the staff. Our main server was a young girl who I believed was named Bailey (sorry if the spelling is wrong) and she was very sweet and attentive. She went out of her way to help us plan out our trip route to Tofino and made sure that we had everything we needed for dinner. She was assisted in serving our table (she was too young to serve alcohol) by another woman who was thoroughly engaging to talk to. Both made our experience very memorable. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would come back in the future if I come through Nanaimo again.

Marinas was our favourite family restaurant to go out and enjoy a very delicious meal for an affordable price, we were heartbroken wen we found out the restaurant had been sold. Craving some good Greek food we decided to try the takeout tonight, sadly we will not be returning! The chicken Parmesan was almost unedible, tough and chewy like rubber the stuffed potatoes tasted like it had gone sour and sat in the freezer for the last six months when the restaurant was contacted about the quality of their food and that we were not satisfied with it they said there was nothing they could do because we got takeout! Very poorly handled when the manager was Requested we were told he was busy cooking and it would throw off his whole night to deal with a complaint! I guess we will only be enjoying our Greek food at Asteras from now on!

First of all the food was really good. Lamb shoulder was tender and flavorful, the chef pizza was very tasty. The beef souvlaki was tasty but a bit tough. Now for the negatives. I read that its under new management and it really shows. The waitress was not attentive, forgot one of our dishes, and was not familiar with the menu. She was very nice but i can see why other reviewers were frustrated. I hope the service gets better because the food was really good!

Be aware! New owners and a lack of customer service is the new standard here. Having been a regular client for years we decided to try the take out option.
The food, experience and customer service were so disappointing that I fear we will never return. It's sad to see such a poor transition in ownership. The previous owners worked so hard to build a great reputation and it will be destroyed in no time.
Save your hard earned cash and consider the other Greek options in town.

Absolutely amazing! Food was fast, fresh and fantastic. Great atmosphere and great staff. Had one of the platters and felt bad we may have been a bit messy but it was so tasty. Have heard great things about the pizza... will be back.
