Management doesn't know how to keep heir clients happy. Want all the elderly out so they can full the building with students.

No loyalty to their long time tennants

Bad experience! The place is clearly not well maintained.

Only the night security were kind to me while I stayed here. Otherwise they were always rude.
The shops close much too early.
There is absolutely no signage stating the residences are only to be entered in the back. Making über and taxi pickups extremely difficult.
It's located in a great place but people are loud late at night.

Le cartier does not respect their tenants.
They did nothing for months about people partying every single night, there is constant very loud constant construction (that they will never warn you about).
I've lived here for almost 4 years now and not a single one of my complaints was addressed. All that matters is that I pay my rent, tenant happiness is the least of their worries.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS APARTMENT.
I have had the worst, unfriendliest experience staying at this apartment for a year.
I am not one to leave reviews or express my opinion strongly, but I will this time because I feel the need to warn people before they considering living here.
1) The building is very OLD.
Contrary to the luxurious feel a high-rise, glass paned building gives off, the building is very shabby on the inside. There is ALWAYS construction going on somewhere (explaining the drilling noise) because they're always fixing something. In just my apartment, the pipes leaked twice in a period of two months, and there was water leakage everywhere. Not only did they have to drill a hole through the wall and ceiling to fix this, they had to patch it up, paint it, etc., so my apartment mates and I could not stay in our rooms for days. They do not even clean up the mess after construction, which annoyed me very much. I know three instances of when the windows have broken. This happened in my apartment as well. I expressed that it is cold in the winter with the window broken, but all they did was cover it up with duct tape and said they will fix it later (in the summer). If the apartment is shabby and requires attention, the administration should be adept and quick to fix things so that the tenant feels at home- it seems like Le Cartier does not have that type of mentality. Additionally, the gym facility is a joke, the depanneur does not sell half the things I need, and the garbage chutes are TINY.
2) The administration is RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL.
The administrative office is located in the basement of the building. Communication is something that should be effective between the tenant and administration, but this is not the case at Le Cartier. First of all, they cannot speak English. At first I had no problem with this, when visits to the office were merely to pay rent, but when discussion was necessary, such as the case of a pipe breakage or plans to renew the lease, things could be more unnecessarily time-consuming and annoying. As mentioned before, they are rude and inconsiderate in dealing with issues in the facility that they are responsible for taking care of. Additionally, they enter your apartment without knocking or prior notice. I do not mind people looking at the apartment because I will not be staying here any longer, but on days I specifically told them I do not want visitors, they still entered my apartment WITHOUT knocking, another incidence of poor communication and no common courtesy. As for the damages in the apartment, the administration is very inappropriate in handling these situations- for example, they got frustrated at me for not notifying the administration about the water leak earlier, they avoided compensating for the damages, and they blamed me for the window breaking, when I had nothing to do with it. All when it is their fault. The only reason I do not pick a fight with the administration is because it is time-consuming and it adds unnecessary stress- and they just don't KNOW how to communicate without being inconsiderate.
Overall, I did not feel safe and at home at this apartment. From the outside it may look nice, and it's at a good location, but I suggest looking at better apartments in the region.
