I work in healthcare and have heard many negative comments about Freeport. I think its a dreaded place and talking to patients and their families that have been discharged from there , most reflect and say how glad they are to be out of there.

My mother was in this hospital for almost over a month. I was absolutely disgusted with the care she received or I should say the care she did not receive! The nurses were rude the doctors were rarely around. My mother screamed in pain for 4 days & the nurses just kept telling wait till your appointment at grand river. I called the number above several times and my complaints were never responded to...until a nurse from grand river called on our behalf! The only good thing I can say is the physio therapy department was great with my mom. Oh and did I mention my mom was kept on the general rehab floor even though she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. She has since passed away.
If you have a loved one at this facility my suggestion is check on them very often cause believe me they will need you!
