A lot of fun. The playground isn’t ideal yet — my son got a very bad cut on his knee because there’s a cement “slide” with a rope...hmmmmm.
The island is a city oasis and one of our favourites.
Beware the goose poop in the spring/early summer.

Beautiful park well kept and the trees here are beautiful and we'll grown. Plus the play structures are fantastic for kiddos. Just remember I follow the signage that tells you to keep off certain sections ❤

Fabulous park so close to downtown. This park is a hidden gem. Many people I talk to have no idea it is here. This park is huge, has a great amount of shade with large mature trees, a wonderful wading area for those hot days, a fun rolling hill in the summer and sledding in the winter. The playground has something for all ages of children. The newly renovated concrete slide is too fast for many so be a little cautious on the first run. This park is also fabulous for a nice walk with lots of scenery and places to stop.

Just spent a Sunday afternoon here with the wife and our three little girls. Beautiful, quiet, safe and clean. Just an awesome spot for families, cyclists, and anyone searching for a nice walk.

I love this park. The work the city did to clean it up and renovate it is fantastic. It's clean, well maintained, and usually staffed with a security guard (so you can feel somewhat safer using it after dark). This has become one of my favourite places to turn around on my long runs.

The park is currently being renovated again as the previous park had some problems (slides getting molten hot in the sun), so prepare for some construction if you head down with kids early this summer.

Also, the map on Google is outdated (it's the map for the old St. Patrick's island. So keep that in mind.
