One of Sydney’s icons for street foodies and the place where nehari, cheese naan and tandoori chicken set the bar high for me. They serve authentic Pakistani-Indian food so expect oil, fat and strong spice. Service is usually a miss, the place is not impeccably clean, usually crowded and portions are small but food is freshly prepared and tastes good. Definitely worth a visit and see if the taste is good enough to ignore the rest.

Best tandoori chicken in Sydney. Vegetable dishes can be a bit too oily, but the tandoori items are a delight. Also very good nihari on the menu

No frills, no fuss. Basic restaurant but yummy authentic Indian & Pakistani food. Dont expect service or a smile. But they have a proper tandoor oven! Does take away

Food is great! Ordered the tandoori chicken and it's so moist and amazing that you can't quite get it elsewhere. There aren't that many waiters working so the service is a bit slow but the food is so worth it! Ordered a few other vegetarian biryanis and they didn't let me down neither. Recommend going there with a group of people to try as many different dishes as possible.

INCREDIBLE FOOD, TRULY DREADFUL SERVICE
The food from this restaurant is some of the best I have had in Sydney yet the service probably the worst. This is a shame as they serve absolutely delicious genuine and authentic Pakistani food that is very hard to find. Sadly every time I visit (and I have ordered many, many times) I feel a genuine animosity from the staff who are deeply unfriendly, rude and ungrateful for my custom. I absolutely adore what they serve yet it is hard to enjoy eating there when I feel as if they hate me (and that is no exaggeration). I am an extremely friendly, respectful and amiable kind of chap and I get on with anyone so this experience is very alien to me.
This is very telling as when their own people come to the restaurant they are greeted with warmth and hospitality. There is consequently a real undertone of racism here which leaves a genuinely bitter taste in the mouth.
I have consequently decided just to order take away and try and overlook this as I love their cooking so much.
It's a great shame as it surely doesn't have to be like this. After all we live in a very multicultural city that embraces difference and a rich tapestry of cultures. Perhaps Faheem's management may read this and think about it.
