I have a distinct feeling that you are very much paying for the name when you go to Chiswick by Matt Moran. It was not bad, however, it was not great either. We went for a late Sunday lunch and it was busy. Our entrees were very good, as were our wines. However, when my rare steak came it was blue rather than rare. I asked for it to be taken back and cooked a little more. The reaction from the waiter was was ambivalent as he took the plate away. When he returned, the steak was right, however, his reaction to mentioning it again was "sure". Mean whilst my partner was a 1/3 of the way through her main. The carafe of wine we ordered arrived way after her main and we were left with empty wine glasses for around 10 minutes. This really upset the balance of our lunch. On the plus side the desserts were amazing. The meal cost us $304 and it was just not what I would expect for that price. My partner blasted me for leaving a 10% tip, I am still not sure why I did that. Chiswick felt a little like a very posh fast food outlet. I think there is way better value around at your local bistro. So in a nutshell, not bad, but not great.

The food is absolutely delicious. I shared the lamb shoulder for two with my partner and we couldn't even finish it - and we're huge eaters! The meal was exquisite. The vegetables were fresh from their garden. And the drink menu was extensive.
I 100% recommend. It is a little pricey but you don't ever feel like you're being overcharged.

Excellent meals for family function in private room with windows all sides over gardens. Good wine service and setting are excellent. Great food selections, combinations and presentation

Chiswick at Woollahra is such a nice spot for lunch because you can look out to the gardens and enjoy the atmosphere. The food is good and especially designed for sharing which makes this a really good spot for a girls lunch. This restaurant has become one of my favourites over the years, and not because it's the best food in Sydney but because of the overall experience. My recommendation is to go for a late long lunch and spend the afternoon eating and drinking with friends.

Fabulous food. The scotch fillet and the roast pork were perfect. The desserts , the rhubarb and the Breton, so good! The port and coffee - perfect! The Service was friendly, fun, and professional. A fabulous night all round. Do not hesitate.
