I left work early so I could get a friend a birthday present. I turned up at 4.30pm and they're already closed.
Urchin has some great stuff but the service is so poor it consist of being on the phone the whole time, ignoring customer and then taking your money nothing more.

The coolest book exchange and curiosities shop that I have ever had the pleasure to visit.
They have resident kittens that are available for adoption and petting and the staff never hassle you to buy anything.
Novelties aside they have an eclectic range of fiction and non-fiction with almost no schlock that usually fills the shelves of second hand book shops. This place is a bibliophiles shrangri-la and a great place to buy quirky birthday cards and gifts for lovers of horror, scifi and literature.

A wonderful bookshop, full of heart and soul, and great addition to the cultural life of the Inner West. Lots of fabulous books, an eclectic mix of gifts, and what bookshop is complete without cats and kittens! The owner fosters cats from a local shelter for visitors to cuddle and adopt.
