Guy who served us was extremely helpful, rushed out to help us move our dinner indoors when it started to rain. Both tables we sat at were clean.
Pleasantly surprised.

Perfect predrinks venue for anything at entertainment quarter or SCG. Nice beer garden

Dirty pub that needs major overhaul. Dust and dirt on all surfaces. Didn't have any Guinness on tap and didn't have a kettle to accommodate a hot whiskey. Not an authentic "Irish pub". Table was sticky dirty had to ask to get it cleaned. Toilet was filthy and no toilet paper. Bar staff were rude, lazy and grumpy, a guy and girl who clearly didn't want to be there. Would not recommend.

Utterly woeful first, and last experience at this PJ's.
Came in for an early lunch and only one table outside full of people - already eating their food.
Only one table inside occupied - already eating their food.
5 people in front of me in the line. 3 ordered drinks only. 2 ordered meals. Yet I was still waiting for nearly 8 minutes for 5 people to be served.
Ordered my steak rare. I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited some more wondering where on earth my meal was. 38 minutes later my steak arrived with no apologies for the horrible delay.
The steak was cold. It was also well done, not an ounce of red was left in the meat.
I sat there and ate the hot chips only. What an amazing $29 that was.
Absolutely pathetic service from the bar staff. Absolutely pathetic service from the chef.
This might honestly be the worst eating experience I have actually ever had.

My wife and I came hear after a movie with a group of friends, we were met at the entrance by 4 young security guards. It must have been a boring night for them so they decided to intimidate us. They said to my wife "are you 12?" before asking for her ID. One of the security guards took me aside and said "what substances have you done tonight? I won't tell the police but I need to know for first aid purposes". I told him that I had done none and he made me follow his finger with my eyes while the other security guards laughed. It was embarrassing, unprofessional and completely unacceptable.
P.J. Gallagher's, these people are the first impression of your venue. Get rid of them and get your act together.
