Would given it 5 star rating except for the banging doors when guest use their doors. We were in the middle of the hallway. A soft closing door be definitely a good option, funny though the drawers are soft closing, that is whenever you close it it will stop about an inch and will self slowly shut.

The Rockford is in a great location, walkable to plenty of restaurants and bars within town, and close to bus and tram stops to take you anywhere within and outside of town. The rooms were very nice for the price, and service was friendly and accommodate.

The place needs some love around the place. Some paint, new carpets etc but still a nice place to stay. Stayed there about 10 years ago and hasn't been touched since but nice rooms at decent prices.
Completely changing my review after several weeks due to lack of respect, professionalism and general service given after my stay.
I was charged a $50 deposit as I used a debit card instead of a credit card. This was to be refunded/returned to my account within 10-days of my stay.
Not only (almost a month later) has this not happened but the clerks at reception are changing their story and blaming my bank for the money not being returned.
I will NOT be returning or having any of my international or interstate friends stay there.

Nice hotel in a great location. Renovations inside with the lift and outside on the street but this didn't affect me. Rooms nicely appointed and contemporary. Room service meal was nice and breakfast downstairs had good options. Will definitely stay again. A nice hotel.
