It is very difficult to locate a specialist who is paitent orientated and I am very glad I found that in Dr Yap. I am a high risk pregnancy and Dr Yap was able to help me achieve my dream of becoming a mother, this wasn't without HUGE hiccups along the way but we were successful in the end.
We were blessed to fall pregnant again after three miscarriges in May 2014, everything was going great until i was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix at 20 weeks. I had a cervical cerclage placed In October 2014 but despite my operation being successful I ppromed (waters breaking before 37 weeks gestation) at 23 weeks , we were devastated to say the least but Dr Yap was postive and with treatment plan tailored for me we managed to deliver our daugher safely at 36 weeks which was a miracle as we had the odds stacked against us.
Dr Yap was by my side for those terrifying 12 weeks and held my hand and guided me though this difficult time, he took time out of her personal life to see me and was always a phone call away. He saved my daughers life and was her voice along with us as she didn't have a voice and many Drs would have given up as soon as a complication such a pprom arose.
I am currently 34 weeks pregnant with our second baby and I have had Dr Yap as my OB again as I don't trust anyone else and once again he has watched my pregnancy like a hawk and I am proud to say that in a few short weeks we will be delivering his first Transabdominl cerclage baby into the world, without his help I wouldn't have my babies and I am truly greatful for everything he has ever done for me and my little family.

We had a very uncomfortable experience. My wife's pregnancy became high risk and complicated and we didnt feel comfortable continuing with Dr Yap's care. He made us feel nervous each time we saw him and we didnt feel he was in control of the situation. We finally requested to be transferred to a more experienced dr at WCH.
We also didnt appreciate their staff member (kimberly) calling us multiple times to chase up payment for the pregnancy care plan and threatening us that we need to make the payment right now or otherwise we cant see Dr Yap. We already had a appointment scheduled that week and said we would pay in person. Finally commonsense prevailed and we were allowed to pay at our next appointment. We just didnt need that extra stress given the high risk pregnancy. We felt they were more worried about fees than the patient.

No words can describe the level of care you receive by Dr Yap and his dedicated staff. It is truly a gift to have such a caring and understanding medical professional tending to the health of our Family. Keep up the Good Work
